TMI but I can't be the only one...

Alright so I've pretty much always had sluggish bowels. Second tri came and what do you know, I was able to use the bathroom so easily. I was in and out of there.

Third tri came about and it's back to the sluggish bowels. The other problem is though, the bump gets in the way of you know straining to go. I also have to unclip my bra so it doesn't cut into me while sitting there. Not too mention it's awkward when the baby is moving around at the same time. I need to concentrate lol.

  • Interesting how we can all be so different.  I have always been able to go easily and since I got pregnant it was about one a week.  Now, since hitting 3rd tri I feel like I am human again.

     Did you change prenatals?

  • Once a week. Goodness I'd be so frustrated. No I didn't change prenatals but my food intake went down a little and my stomach has been alot more sensitive lately.

  • Sounds like your colon needs to talk to my colon and get things ironed out.... I have the opposite problem. Everything all of a sudden runs right through me. I have had the worst sluggish bowels for the past 7 months, but all of a sudden things have completely changed for me.... Weird....
  • I'm having the same issues going but haven't had the bra issues while going.  Interesting...

  • ditto to all of this. I now take a colace DAILY.

Also, while watching Dr. Oz, he was recommending putting your feet up on a stool, even if it's 5" off the ground. (Ok, while pregnant, you really have to spread your knees apart to get there).  But it relaxes the colon to it's natural shape, and makes it a LOT easier to get through.  I won't got without it now!

  • I told my doc about my BM issues and he prescribed me Lactulose Solution. Its a green liquid that smells like coconuts. I take it when things get too backed up.

    Ask your doc about it.

  • Sadly, you're not the only one. I feel like my bump is totally in the way! Haven't tried unhooking my bra yet though. Thanks for the tip! lol

I saw this too and wondered if it actually worked. May have to try it!

  • I've been going too much! My arms are getting to be too short to reach. Indifferent LOL I strain more to wipe than to actually go.
