Just pulled the pregnancy card for the first time...

My PB&J and easy mac that I brought were not appealing to me for lunch today so I told the lunch lady at my school that I am pg. and she gave me a delish chicken patty sand. and told me I can come get free food from her anytime!!

Shamless, I know. Have any of you pulled "the pregnancy card" yet?

    that is awesome.

not yet, but I did just tell dh he might be walking our dog soon, as my dog nearly topped me and baby over because he saw a kitty and bolted!

  • Thats awesome!

I had to pee so bad the other day and was in a store that didn't have bathroom, so I ask the sales girl politely and told her I was pregnant she snuck me in back to the bathroom.

  • I'm totally pulling the pregnancy card to get out of eating things I don't like.  Not that I'm really exaggerating, though.  My DH is the family chef, and he tends to be a *bit* heavy-handed on the spices.  Normally I grin and bear it but lately I'm like I'm sorry honey but I can't even stand to smell this, let alone think about taking a bite (except, ya know, I'm a little more diplomatic about it)...

LOL....same with my fiance. I've been doing the same thing!

  • I did last week, I was on the subway which was super crowded and this guy behind me kept pushing me and telling me to move in because he needed to get on this train to catch a commuter train to the burbs.  I turned around looked at him and said "stop pushing me I am pregnant".  He looked completely mortified and stopped.
  • Yep! I did it to get an appt sooner with a GI dr to discuss my acid reflux...doing so bumped my appt up by 3 weeks!

Oh, I've been wanting to do this on the subway SO bad!  I cant stand how rude people are...maybe I will just start announcing it as the hordes are pushing to get on the train: "PREGNANT LADY coming through!"

When I first read this I thought - its not like he was going to get his sandwich any faster if you moved forward - a line is still a line.

AND then I realized you said ON the subway, not AT subway.

Gotta get my mind out of the food gutter.  But a subway sandwich sounds really amazing right now.

HAHAHAHAHA!!!!  That just cracked me up!  I love how we're all thinking about food!  My DH and I were debating last night whether or not to accept a counter offer on the home we are eyeing and I suddenly HAD TO HAVE a McD's chocolate milkshake!  So the debate was put on hold while he went to get one for me Big Smile  That was really my first blatant PG card.  BTW, I can't even tell you the last time I've had anything from McD's...but man was that shake good!

  • I've been playing it with DH as far as fetching me drinks from the kitchen.

And now I want a school lunch chicken patty sandwich and a McD's shake.
