I voted no, never....But I do understand why people do that. I'm not a SAHM, but if I need a break, DH is usually right there to take over for me, and I'll just relax sans baby by either playing on the computer or cooking while DH takes care of the baby.

Now, however, with C's total Mommy Dependence, I have to sneak out of the room while DH distracts him if I want a break. Otherwise screaming will ensue. I may have to use this trick in the future if he doesn't break from this. (I actually had to sneak out of the house this morning while DH kept him distracted so he wouldn't start screaming.)

Yeah, everywhere I go my 2 year old follows me. There's always someone touching me. Everywhere but the bathroom when DH is home. During the day DD demands to be let in with me.

DH doesn't get home until 6, and we're busy until bed. I ask dh for a real break sometimes but with a baby and a toddler it's hard to take more than a few extra minutes in the bathroom.

Mostly at work to get away from people and only at home so DH has to change the diapey on the baby and not me.
