no more ultrasounds?

I am the only one not getting a final ultrasound?  I'll be 36 weeks and when the DR told me what they were doing at that appointment (strep, internal, bloodwork), she didn't mention a final growth U/S.  So I called back later and asked the nurse, who replied that they only do the first one to confirm the pregnancy and then the 20w measurement U/S. 

Kind of feel bummed that I won't get another peek.  We are have a scheduled C/S so it really doesn't matter her placement of weight, but I just wanted to know.

I just had the NT scan and anatomy back at Christmas. No more for me unless there are growth concerns.

No more ultrasounds for me unless there is some problem.

No more for me as well, unless at my next appointment they can not determine if she is head down or not..

My OB wasn't going to do anymore ultrasounds after the anatomy one. I switched to a Midwife a few weeks ago though and she wants to get an ultrasound done so that she knows what the placement of the placenta and stuff is so, I'm going to get lucky and get to see our LO again. I was pretty excited about that but, I think it's fairly standard these days for the last US to be at around 20 weeks...

It's common practice, that if all is going well in your pregnancy there is no medical need for another u/s.

I've only had extras due to a low lying placenta. Unless there's an issue, my doctor's office doesn't do late ultrasounds.

Oh, and you really don't get to see much in a late u/s because they're so smushed! :-) We could barely see her face.

None for me either. I had one at 24 weeks because she was measuring small at my 18 week, but they aren't doing another one this late.

I don't think I'm getting one either. My last official u/s was in December at the anatomy scan. I had one a few weeks ago before going into surgery to do a quick check on LO, but I was in so much pain and drugged up I don't really remember. Now I have them 2 times a week but only to measure amniotic fluid levels. I don't actually get to see anything unless the nurse is feeling nice and points something out and they aren't looking for anything else.

I have an OB appointment today and I am going to ask if they are going to do a growth u/s before my c-section. I'm guessing the answer will be no but I would really like them to for my own peace of mind to make sure LO is developed enough before they cut her out.

our last was at 33, and that was a cervical. No more for us really, after 30.

I don't get an ultrasound beyond the 20w one either. Unless something actually goes wrong. That's as much insurance policy as OB policy.

Thanks girls!  It was just starting to seem like a lot of girls were still getting ultrasounds and I was just anxious to see DD!  We had our anatomy at 18w, and 2 followups that month (20 and 22w) to watch a heart growth issue, but that was it.  That seems to have cleared itself up, so it looks like no more U/S for us either.
