Surprise ultrasound today. So weird.

DH is a librarian and the library is closed on Mondays (and I can work from home) so we decided to try to schedule all of my appts. for that day. Unfortunately my midwife could only do my physical today so since it was going to just be a pelvic and some testing we decided it was okay if DH missed and my sister went with me instead.

One second she's measuring my stomach and the next second we are hearing the heartbeat. My sis and I were shocked. She didn't mention she was going to do that. Then she asked if we wanted to take a quick look at the baby since she had a little time this afternoon and she took us to the u/s room and we got to see it. I was so sad DH missed both of those but we were given photos and he's just happy everything was ok.

But how weird after having to basically BEG for an u/s before 20 weeks to just get a surprise like this today. Baby looks healthy and everything is ok.
