and it was terrible!! Thank God I had prepared myself for the most pain I could imagine. My Ob told me Ibuprofen would do the trick. So sorry but he lied.
They did find my left tuble to be blocked (probably due to endo) and cleared it. So now all roads are open and clear. Thankfully they found no abnormalities in my uterus except that it is retroverted, which is not a problem.
So on to the urologist we go for DH.
Re: HSG was today
Yippee for clear tubes!
Glad it is over & you don't have a more serious issue.
I had the same issue with the HSG, Ibuprofen was not going to touch that pain.
GL with YH's tests!

At 40w6d, our Team Green surprise came by unplanned C-section and changed our lives forever!
Mine was very painful as well, worst pain I've felt in my life, not to mention they had to dilate me and it felt like they were cutting me with a knife (eek, maybe they were).
It was found that my uterus was retroverted as well. I was then told that I need to have my husband ejaculate from behind to put the semen as close to the cervical opening. I'm just surprised by the suggestion since apparently having a retroverted uterus shouldn't pose a problem. Were you told that it could potentially cause a problem in conceiving?
I'm sorry you had such a bad experience.
Hope you are feeling better now.
Mine was VERY painful also and they found both tubes to be blocked (prolly also due to Endo) but they were able to clear them out during the HSG.
Good Luck at the Urologist.
Hahaha I plan to!
