I had an ultrasound today with a perinatologist and baby looked great. He was head down, weighing 4 lbs 3 oz, and everything looked perfect. Unfortunately his head is measuring TWO whole weeks ahead. I'm 31w1d and his head is measuring 33w1d. YIKES!
The doc laughed it off and said, "Yep he's got a big head alright". The same thing happened when I was pregnant with DS. All the docs were freaking out over how big his head was measuring during ultrasounds and how big he was but he was born totally normal.
Doesn't help that my hubby was born with the largest head circumference in the little town in Thailand where he was born! Friend and family make fun of him constantly for it
) Hubby does have a larger head than most (we like to think it helped him be the Engineer and Lawyer that he is) so it's not a huge surprise his children would inherit his large head. But geez....this is not helping my VBAC case!
Re: Baby's head measuring 2 weeks ahead! Be faint my heart...

As of 2 weeks ago, our baby's head was in the 87th percentile :-/
Not sure what I'm in for, LOL

Sorry this is completely off topic! Is your husband a Patent Lawyer? My DH is an engineer as well and has been looking into patent law (as you need to have an engineering degree first) just wondering if he likes it if that is the case!

That's so funny! Yes, DH is a Patent Lawyer. He works for the government at the US Patent and Trademark office. You're right, to work there you need both an Engineering degree and a Law degree. He does Intellectual Property (fancy word for computer stuff since he's a computer engineer) so he does the patents that deal with computer stuff.
DH completely loves it and the work schedule at the Patent Office is so laid back and production based rather than hour based. So if he can get his # of cases done in 4 hours instead of 8 hours then he can go home. So DH is great at his job and very efficient and hasn't had to work a full 8 hour day in years. He also just put in to work from home and he starts that this Monday. They offer telecommuting nation wide actually (but I think you have to have worked a certain number of years with them before letting you telecommute from anywhere). Let me know if you want to know more!
Thanks so much for the information! He is seriously contemplating it ( he has begun to study for the LSAT. He started reading my old books, I took it awhile ago, I was going to go to law school and the month I got my letter, surprise! I'm pregnant! Law School while raising a child in CA just wouldn't have worked out, too pricey, which is why we moved to TN lol).
When we were in CA he was working 14 hr days...Now we are In TN and it is a bit better, 11 hr days...4 hr days sound fantastic! He does not personally know anyone in patent law and therefore has had mixed feelings, etc. I will be sure to emphasize how great it sounds!
Thanks again!
