As you probably know by now, when you brew coffee, the laws of gravity pull the coffee out out of the top of the coffee machine and into the pot.  If you pull the pot out from under the machine, not only will you waste the coffee we could all be drinking, but you'll make a giant mess.  If you MUST pull the coffee pot out early, a smarter alternative to wasting the coffee is to quickly put another mug under the area where the coffee is coming out, so you can get your coffee early AND not make a mess.
