contractions -- who has 'em?

I've been having non-timeable contractions for a few days now. Usually mostly at night, but occasionally throughout the day. Nothing too terribly painful at this point, either.

My body is waking up and getting ready! Is yours?

Re: contractions -- who has 'em?

  • Yes. Everyday. And sometimes they are timeable. I was hospitalized two weeks ago for it.

Just two or three more weeks. I can handle this.

  • I have BH here and there but not too often.

I had lots of irregular contractions going on in my first pregnancy and was still induced at 41 weeks, so I don't put much stock in pre-labor contractions meaning much.

  • Having one now!! They don't hurt too much, just very uncomfortable. Drink lots of water and try to relax. They will hurt soon enough Tongue Tied
  • Just the BH contractions for now.  Not in any hurry to get real ones.
  • I have them, but I don't usually feel them. Good for me, annoys the heck out of my doc and L&D people. I usually feel about 1 in 10 that I have and even then it's a "oh..hunh" response. Had a few during an ultrasound yesterday and the tech kept going "bet you felt THAT one hunh?!" aaaand no

For the iPhone, I have Pragnancy Tracker Free by Deltaworks Limited.  It includes a kick counter and contraction counter -- for contractions you can record start time, end time, duration, interval and notes...you can email all the information to yourself as well as look at Stats & Graphs

Statistics (last week, last month, all logs)
that show: total duration, average duration, average interval of contractions

    Charts (duration vs interval)
    Last 10
    Last 25
    Last 50

It's kind of cool...and free is always nice  Yes

  • I had them last Thursday and was in L & D for them, but haven't had any since.

  • I been having BH for the last 6 days or so. They are irregular and don't hurt, but they definitly increase throughout the day. I kind of like them because I know my body is getting prepared. (even though I'm having a repeat c-section)  :)

  • SO many it's starting to really piss me off.  None are timeable so it isn't worth getting my panties in a wad over...but I have them all day anywhere from 6-30 minutes apart, and at night they get closer together and more intense.

They are progressively more painful, too...yesterday I had to stop a few times and breathe through them. Fun. I really hope this lasts until my RSC on the 25th.

  • I don't think I'm having any.  If I am, I'm definitely not having any that are noticeable or painful.  What do they even feel like?
  • I have them all.the.time I have medications to take when they are timeable (which to me is greater than every 20 minutes for an hour). I had a scare two nights ago when even after I had taken my meds, I was still contracting every 12 minutes. UGH

  • Yep, I've been having TONS of irregular contractions for the past few weeks, and they've been increasing lately.  They started out completely painless (sometimes I didn't even know I was having them until I touched my stomach and felt how had it was) and just a little uncomfortable, but they've started getting more and more crampy over the past week and a half.  I'm almost completely thinned, but I haven't started to dilate yet as far as I know, but I have a doctor's appt tomorrow, so we'll see!

  • I've been having some pretty strong BH off and on for the past 2 weeks.  Nothing painful or time able yet, but very noticeable.  They usually are strongest in the evenings when I'm tired.

  • Yes. They have been irregular though but they have been strong since Friday. I find myself breathing through some.

  • Yep, I've been getting them for a couple weeks now. They get timeable sometimes for about an hour or two and then taper off. It's pretty wild! :-)
