Where did everyone buy their baby furniture from and how was the furniture and experience? I had picked out a set from babies r us but they want SO much to ship it and it says you can't ship to the store for pickup so they are forcing me to spend all that money to ship it. So now im on a search for a new nursery set and need it relatively fast. Any suggestions of websites that you had success with?
Re: Nursery Furniture
We got ours from a local baby furniture store. We got a Capretti set, style Umbria.
How much is BRU charging for shipping? We'll be paying $120 and that includes setting it all up...just to give you a comparison.
To find other stores in your area that carry baby furniture, go to some baby furniture manufacturers websites and search for dealer locations, etc. I can name off a few brands, but don't know how much you're looking to spend.
Capretti
Munire
Baby's Dream
Romina

We got the Lauren Graco set in Espresso - I got the crib from Walmart (free shipping) and the changing table from Target (in store).
Google the set you want, I bet you can find it somewhere online! Good luck!
We ordered the BSF baby cabana in espresso. The reviews were mixed on various websites, but it was in our budget and super easy to assemble. It is heavy duty once assembled and looks gorgeous in our nursery. It was free shipping on Amazon. It came right to our door. I love it. The one complaint I have is the safety sticker on the side of the changer was a bit difficult to remove. But I looks good now!

We ordered from BRU but actually were able to ship to the store for pickup. I just called the store, asked if they had it in the warehouse, and then was able to get it about a week later I think.
We got the Baby Cache Bliss Curved Crib and Combo Dresser, both in Espresso and got a good deal since there was a % off AND a $100 gift card for spending a certain amount of money.
We got the Graco Lauren crib from Walmart.com - free shipping and the price was the lowest I had seen anywhere. We got the Carter Sleep Haven Changing Table from Amazon - free shipping. Lastly, we got our glider from JCPenney.com - ordered during a free shipping promotion and used coupon codes.
You can probably find the pieces you want online, and usually cheaper. GL!
We did the same. JCPenney will normally do a free ship to store. We love our set!
Crib: Graco Lauren from Target (on sale for $111, but no longer in stores. I think it's free shipping and $160 online).
Dresser: Hemenes 3-drawer from IKEA ($150, picked up from store)
Storage Cube: 9 squares in espresso from Target
We opted to go for separate pieces in our budget to save money. Sets from BRU were too expensive for us.
We didn't need/want a convertible crib. We both like to switch things up often and are already looking forward to turning our son's room into a "big boy" bedroom with a new bed.
We bought all the nursery furniture from Ikea and picked it up locally.
We got the gulliver crib, the hemnes dresser, the poang rocking chair, and the expedit cube shelf.
JCP. We are happy with it.
They do free site to store shipping.
