Babies: 6 - 9 Months

How much is your 6-7 month old eating?

Curious to see how much other LO's are eating and what they are eating.

DD is taking less and less (formula) bottles since she started eating solids. She eats solids 3 times a day and today she will have only had 3- 7 oz bottles.

When she eats she eats alot, and of course I assume that is filling her up. But in the back of my head is the pedi saying the formula is much more important than food up to 1 yrs old.

I really don't know. Just curious. TIA!

  • Vivian has about 18 oz of formula a day plus oatmeal with bananas (~1/3 cup) for breakfast, 4 oz of a fruit or veg for lunch, and 4 oz of a fruit, veg or one of the meals with meat (like turkey and rice) for dinner.  I talked to my pedi last week and she said this was fine.  My LO has never taken more than 6 oz of formula at a time and she rarely has more than 4 oz except at bedtime for some reason.  She was BF'd until she was 4 mos old so I don't know what her consumption was before we started cereal.
