I think that Posy is cute as a nickname (not as a full name--- too cutesy), but I wouldn't do too flower names, if your daughter goes by Lily and not Lillian (if she goes by Lillian, I don't think it's a problem). I love flower names (Violet, Iris, Lily), but I've accepted that I can only pick one.
I think if both Lily and Posy are nns for longer names that they can go by when they get older if they choose then it's not too cheesy at all. In fact I think it's pretty darn cute!
I like it as a nn for Josephine. I love Josephine. But with Lily you may want to go with a different nn.
I also think of 'posies as in Disposable diapers. Most people wouldn't associate it but on cloth diaper message boards they are often referred to as 'posies

I really like it. But I love all flower names.
You'd have a bouquet!
