DD has been having separation anxiety issues for a little over a week but it's getting really bad now. Last night she woke up at 3 and normally I can go pop the paci back and and she's back out in no time. Last night as soon as I turned to walk away she started crying. I had to stay in there and stroke her forehead until she fell back to sleep. How long does this phase last?

Re: Separation anxiety sucks
I have no advice but I'm sorry you didn't get much sleep. How is she feeling?
Ryan has always needed that constant human interaction. He hates when he can't see you. I really think that's why he's such a bad sleeper. If he wakes and you aren't there he freaks out.
She's doing much better but DH and I both caught her cold. I think we lucked out with her first cold being extremely mild.
Is that really what separation anxiety is? I mean Hunter does that sometimes for going down for naps? But I thought it would be more of a continously thing to be considered separation anxiety..
Off to google to research now...

She's been doing it while awake for about a week, if we walk out of sight she freaks out, but just started doing it for naps and at night yesterday.
H did this, but it lasted two weeks and that was about a month ago.

Do you have anything in the crib that can comfort her?
We have the Seahorse and her Taggies blanket that she sleeps with and I think it's really helped.
Yeah, she has a lovey, a little pooh bear head with a teething towel attached, it helps, she was just not having anything but me last night. Maybe because she's going through this phase and sick?
Yep, she definitely may be out of whack because she's been sick.
