I found the winner of this months parent of the month award!

I was nursing ds in the parked car while out running errands. While people watching like I always do I spotted a lady and a baby walking to their car. The car happened to be parked almost right in front of us so I could clearly see everything going on. She gets to her car and among closer review I see a very packed car with 5 people already in it. They get out to rearrange themselves by sitting on laps and sticking the baby on someones lap as well because there wasn't ANY room for a car seat!!  The car which was just a regular sized Sudan had a total of 7 people in it and to beat it all they had out of state tags...

Unfortunately that describes about  60% of the people that come to pay their water bill at my office.  The parents roll up with several children in the front seat and get out leaving the kids in and the car running.  Brilliant.

My mom saw the same thing coming out of Chuck e Cheese the other day.  She took down the plate number and called the police.  They said they would go after them.  I can't even imagine ever doing something like that!?

That is terrible. I saw a car in traffic one day with the passenger (and I am assuming the mother) HOLDING the car seat in her lap with the baby in it (not strapped in). They were in a compact car, in heavy traffic. All I could think was what if they slam on the breaks, that poor baby will go through the windshield. I tried to get the tags and call the police but I was unable to as they were making a u-turn in another lane and I couldn't cut across traffic. I thought about that the whole way home.
