I think it is a boy's name. Unfortunately, all of the little ones I know with that name are girls. And they all have jacked up spellings (Ryleigh, Rylee, Rylie, etc). Blah.

Love it for a boy, but unfortunately it's nauseatingly popular for a girl including several spelling butcherings (Rileigh, Rylie, Rylee, etc...). I can't help but assume it's usually a girl when I hear it.
Used to think boy - but now I've taught 2 Rileys that were girls (one was spelled Rilee). I have a boy student named that in 1st grade this year. So I guess it can be used for both.

Both! Riley is my maiden name and I had planned on using it as my first child's name (boy or girl). I recently fell in love with Rowan for a boy so I am hoping to use Riley for a girl. Love the name though!

Me too. My boy dog is named Riley.
Girl.
I've never met a boy named Riley and currently know 3 girls named Riley- all spelled that way too.
I think it is a boy name, but I know a girl with this name
BFP 11/09 - DD 7/10 - BFP 8/11 - M/C 9/11 - BFP 6/12 - DD - 2/13
I think it depends on how it is spelled. Riley makes me think boy. I have a little girl in my class with that name only spelled Rylee.

I think it's pretty unisex these days. I know quite a few Rileys of both genders.
I've always considered it more of a boy's name though.
