Sticks one foot in

So I just realized that J has been six months old since Thursday and I haven't posted here yet. So I think I'll test the waters.

I've been on a bit of a bumpcation since Tuesday. I had a Master's assignment due and J was refusing to sleep more than 2-3 hours at a time at night (growth spurt + teething), so I packed up all our stuff and went home to my mommy.

She took care of James during the daytime so that I could work on my paper, and just generally babied me. It's been awesome. DH joined us on Friday after work, and we're all heading home today. After Sunday dinner, of course. Mom's currently roasting a leg of lamb and I saw a lemon meringue pie cooling in the fridge.

And...last night J went down at 8:00, woke at 11 when we went to bed (such a light sleeper). He fed and slept from 11:45-6:45!!! So I guess the eating-around-the clock phase of this growth spurt is ending.
