Vertigo and parenting (minor vent)

about a month ago i was diagnosed with vertigo and today has been the worst bout of it so far. I feel super dizzy and nauseated and the only thing helping is to sit still and upright. Eli is being his normal sweet-but-needy self, and i really don't feel like playing with him right now.  i have meds to take for it but it causes drowsiness in both me and LO. DH would help but he's playing golf with some important people in his company today and this could lead to a promotion. plus, i would hate to interrupt him and tell him to come home because he's had a rough week and REALLY needs some fun time.

at least i don't have migraines i guess. arrgghhh this day needs to be over.

Re: Vertigo and parenting (minor vent)

  • I feel for you! I've had vertigo since January and I think in the last 2-3 days has started to not be as bad.

    Hope you feel better soon!

  • What's causing the vertigo?
  • I feel for you.  I had it in June while I was pregnant.  I was out of comission for at 2 weeks.  I ended up doing physical therapy and an exercise my chiropractor gave me.  It really helped.  I don't know if this would be something you could do.

  • I have had two really bad bouts of vertigo. They gave me an injection in my arse cheek and it made me feel 99 % better. Vertigo is just about the worst feeling in the world for me. I remember bawling my eyes out at the Drs office because I felt so terrible. I puked in the car on the way home, then the shot started working and I was able to eat and even play some computer games. I hope you feel better!!
