My BP is going up...

I think it's probably too soon to worry, but my blood pressure is normally consistently at around 100-110 over 60-70 (at my OB appointment last Friday it was around 104/65).  Last night and this morning it was at around 123/79.  And I've been super swollen for the last couple of days.

OF COURSE this happens on a Saturday so I can't make a quick call to the OB's office to ease my mind.  We have childbirth class at the hospital today, so I think I'll ask when I'm there if I need to worry.  In the meantime, I'm cutting out salt and trying to drink more water to see if it helps.

Anyone's BP easing up like this?

I had a spike like that at my last appointment. The appointment before that it was really low with a bit of protein (probablly from discharge Doc said). She said not worry that unless you get blurry vision, fatigue/faintness or have any other symptoms then just to take it easy.  I am sure you will be okay. Drink more water, put your feet up and try not to stress out.

i remember during my last pregnancy that my bp started going up during my third trimester.  i was really stressed out about it, which i'm sure exacerbated the situation.  i've read that this is completely normal though.

Thanks, ladies!  You made me feel better.  I've always had super low blood pressure so it was just a surprise to see such high numbers, but I guess relatively speaking they're not that high.  My foot swelling has gone down a lot today - yesterday I didn't recognize my own feet/ankles/calves, they were so swollen, but today they look almost normal.  I think lots of water and feet up are in order today!

Mine has been low like it normally is (110/70ish) and at my appointment yesterday it was 130/70, which is the highest it's ever been.  My doc wasn't worried and said we would continue to monitor it.  I have also been experiencing some swelling in my feet/ankles/hands but nothing too bad.  It sounds like you have a plan already so good luck!

Medically speaking 123/79 is not high at all. It is common for BP to increase in the last trimester. That is a good BP. Also be careful how often you take your pressure and how. The more people take it, the more they tend to obsess which will make it increase. Also a lot of home machines tend to give inaccurate readings. There's nothing wrong with keeping an eye on it but it sounds like you're still in the safe range.
