Shower/Sprinkle Gift?

So I havent had my shower yet, but you would think that I would know what to get! 

I'm going to a "sprinkle" today for a friend who is due a week or so before me. this is her second baby, and as far as Ive looked, I havent seen a registry anywhere for her. 

 If there is no registry - what should I get her? Here's what Im thinking so far:

Baby Keepsake/Memory Book

Gift Card to Grocery Store/Target/BRU

Other than those ideas, I am completely blanking out - pregnancy brain is ruling my life this morming! Anyone have any other ideas?

Diapers and wipes! That's what all our "sprinkles" are in my circle of friends. Good luck

What about something for the mom?  Like a pedicure or a prenatal massage?  Or maybe even a gift certificate for a newborn photo shoot?

I went to a sprinkle recently and the mom got a lot of diapers, wipes, and some new baby clothes. I would just include a gift receipt in case and that way she can exchange anything she doesn't need or if she wants a different brand of diaper, etc.

Ooh - I do like the idea of a gift certificate for the mom!

Unfortunately, diapers/wipes are out! She uses a cloth diaper service! So I cant even buy any cute cloth diapers for her!

Is the new baby the same sex? If not, definitely some gender specific clothes, etc.

Otherwise, I would probably do something cute off etsy. Does the baby have a name? Some pretty embroidered burp cloths or something would be fun. There is a TON of cute stuff on there, and it might be fun for her to get something different.

I always bring diapers to a sprinkle.  Then I'd throw in an outfit or something personalized to the new baby.

Since diapers are out (wipes too?  I won't CD...), I'd go with wither gender specific things and maybe a gift card.  If it's not too late, maybe look into personalized items like embroidered burp cloths or blankets.

I vote for something for mom too. A co-worker/good friend of mine recenlty had a second baby girl. For the first one we did the whole baby shower thing. So for the second one we all pitched in and got her a Vera Bradley purse and GC to a spa. I think it's really important that no matter what number baby it is that mom be recongnized for all she's done!
