Hi guys-
What would you recommend as a 'starter kit' of sorts for cloth diapering? We're expecting our first in June and know we want to go the CD route, but are a bit lost as to how many to buy initially, of what sizes, preferred brands/types, what accessories... snappis and covers and pins, oh my! Just a bit overwhelmed and would love if someone could break it down for us.?
?Thanks in advance!?

Re: Cloth Diapers- where to start?
Do a trial! Jilliansdrawers.com has CD trials and people love it.
We jumped right in and just picked prefolds/covers, and now I'm switching to fitteds/covers and a couple BG2.0's.
I wish we would have done the trial first.

Modern Cloth Diapering | Sunshine Diapers is the place with the KL0 rental program if you want to go that route, but I think the trial might be more fun because you can play with different kinds. You could also watch your local Craig's List or Diaper Swappers - Cloth Diaper & Parenting Community to see if you can get a great deal on gently used diapers. That's what I did knowing I could later resell many of them for close to what I paid as long as I keep them in good shape.
And ditto PP, keep reading the info here. I did that for a couple months and feel so much more confident.
LClaire (one of our very own nesties) has done a beautiful job of creating an informational section about CDing on her site. She is also fantastic to work with, and is a wealth of information regarding all things cloth. Her tutorial has three sections. The main page is:
