I didn't think it would last long but I wasn't sure if it would happen tonight. It did happen before. They are still ridiculous and took way too long but at least our government employees and troops won't be punished by stupidity of congress.

Yes. Technically there will be a short shutdown because it can't be signed in time to avoid it completely but it will only be a few hours.

I was actually kind of hoping for a short shut down. I don't think most peoples lives would have changed that much, and maybe people would realize we don't need as much government control as the government wants us to think we need?

But for those who it would affect terribly, I am glad it isn't happening!!
