NCDR: What cell phone should I get? (Clicky Poll)

I've been eligible for an upgrade with Verizon for a month or so and never got around to researching phones. Tonight I dropped my Blackberry Storm and it won't turn back on, so it looks like I'll be going to Verizon tomorrow.

I have an Iphone 4 and I love it. The only issue is it is harder to post on the bump, but still possible. With that said, you will have some limitations with the Iphone 4 under the verizon network. I know you can't surf the web and talk on the phone at the same time, which I do a lot, but don't know if that matters to you.

My hubby is computer/tech geek and he would recommend the Droid 2. It is one of the newer options out there. I had a blackberry and did not like it. I have seen a droid in person and if I didn't have an Iphone I would get a Droid because they are pretty cool.

im on tmobile so no iphone, but I my HTC G2 with android. If you go android route just make sure you get a"naked" droid which I think the droid X is. Some  (like samsung) have another operating system running on top of android (moto blur is one) and it bogs the system down.

I just don't know if I'm an iPhone kind of girl. Coming from years on Blackberry and PC... Apple seems too cool for me But BB is so slow these days that I can't justify staying with them.

My sister has a Droid 2 and loves it. The Thunderbolt is the new 4G phone. I don't really even know what that is, but it sounds good.

Mallrats- Thanks for the tip on that! I don't think Droids or HTC have extra software? But I'll definitely ask!

I voted SS.  I'm in love with my Palm.  I had the Centro and have the Pixie.....loved them both!  The Centro was the first phone I ever had that I was actually sad to get rid of.

I'm for droid, but that's because that's what I have and know some of the developers.  :-D

I didn't vote, since I am too lazy/tired to look right now on the difference between the 2.

I think they're pretty similar. X is a touch screen with a better camera, 2 is just the newer version of the original.

But thanks! All my BB friends are trying to convince me to stay with BB by saying the Android OS gets viruses. So I'm nervous to leave BB, but everyone with an android phone seems to love it.

I was just in this boat a few weeks ago and went to Verizon pretty sure I was getting the Thunderbolt, but wanted to look at the iphone, too.  When I told the sales person I couldn't decide, she asked if I wanted her honest opinion and then told me to get the iphone ($50 cheaper than the Thunderbolt).

I am really happy with the iPhone :-)

i LOVE my droid 2.  i went with the 2 over the x because i liked the option of having an actual keyboard and not just being stuck with the onscreen keypad

you can. It's just a big pain. In the comment window where you would type click the HTML icon and type your message in there. Submit it and click post like normal. This is a reason for a lot of my typos..lol

oh and I voted Droid X. DH and I both love ours. He had the Storm prior and liked that a lot too...

I have a Droid X and I like it.  But I voted for the HTC thunderbolt.  The 4G is so much faster and it operates more like the HTC evo that sprint has which I love, but won't switch to sprint for.  But the Droid X is a good phone too.  I'm kind of a gadget geek, so the thunderbolt intrigues me!  I played with a friend of mine's and really liked it.  Plus they are about the same price and the same size screen.

DH has the Droid X and I really l like it. I was going to get an iPhone, but I like the Droid better. According to DH, you can add memory to the Droid, but you cannot with the iPhone.
