Are YOU in pictures?

If you look through my pictures my DD does not have a mother, only a father.  There are some pictures of DD and I, but they are the typical Facebook shots where I am in the bathroom taking a picture of us through the mirror.  DH never takes pictures and I feel somewhat self-absorbed asking him to take some of us together.  I should probably just get over it and ask him anyway...

Funny I was just thinking of this today! I am probably in 2 pics with my LO. SInce DH is deployed I was considering getting some professional ones of just her and me....

I am the pictures person in our family I have to ask DH to take pics of me.  Growing up my dad was the picture person and there are tons of pics of me and my mom.

I am in like 5. Not only am I not really comfortable with myself at this point, but I feel like I need to get as many with Max and his Daddy as possible since he will be leaving soon. So those of you who are friends with my on FB, that is why there were literally like 80 of Max and my H together in Hawaii.

The few times I have asked H to take them of us he takes one or two and puts barely any effort in getting Ryann to look towards the camera.  At least there is proof I exist...sigh.

There is always one designated "picture person" in every group, isn't there?!  Even amongst my friends I am the only one who remembers the camera.

Ugh this makes me so mad! I hate that DH doesn't think to pick up the camera and take some shots of me with DS. You would think I don't exist.

No, never ever. I am the family photographer, so there are great pictures of everyone but me. It makes me sad.

Haha, we have the same problem except ours always come out in unflattering angles since he is so tall. Also, he likes to take them zoomed so they're super close up. I can't stand close-up pictures of myself!

DH always laughs at me when I tell him to stand up when taking pictures of us (he is lazy and usually sitting) because I don't want an up-the-nose-shot.  He thinks I am particular, men just don't understand.

I sometimes wonder what Alex is thinking when he takes pictures.  He'll zoom in on Kate and get like my nose and chin.  Or he'll zoom in on me and give Kate's forehead.

I have the same problem with DH not being able to use the camera.  If I get all the settings adjusted, he can SOMETIMES get one that is non-blurry.  But then I have to crop the hell out of it becuase he does not understand how to frame a picture, and I'd prefer that the majority of the pic not be taken up by sh*t in the background.

There are a few with me and LO, but mostly from the first week when I looked like complete crap: anemic, puffy, tired.  Recently I've just started bringing the camera and asking a friend to take a quick shot of the two of us because I was tired of having no pics of us together.

I am in maybe 5 pics with DD, mostly from the holidays. DH is a horrible photographer and hardly ever offers to take a pic. Today we were at the beach and I told him to take a pic of DD and u, after going through the pics I see the pic of DD and I, we are all the way to the left of the screen and in the center is some chick with fake boobs taking off her shirt in the background. Really DH? You just got caught and you are an idiot! He swears he had no idea about the bombshell behind me.

DH only has a couple with Remy. But I tried to take as many as I could before he deployed. Me on the other hand, I have the "FB" shots.

My husband takes a lot of pictures we tend to take turns. I'm always comfortable asking him too. I love your daughters name, Ryanne with an "e" was the name we had picked out for a girl : )

In our house most of the pics are of E - just her...or her with "her friends" (i.e. the people who come to visit to see her). Neither H nor I really like having our picture taken. That said, we both take pictures, but H takes great pictures.

I think I have maybe 3 of me and DS at the most.  DH doesn't really think to take pictures of neither one of us, I just pick up the camera when I see a cute "kodak moment"

if it werent for my mom I wouldnt have any of me and DD because I am always the one taking pictures of DD and DH

OMG, I love this post!  I was thinking the exact same thing today because my DH does not think to take a picture of me & our LO,  EVER!!  I don't get it. There are so many of the 2 of them, & I actually feel like I'm their photographer most days (& honestly, I'm happy to capture their moments). Do you think it's testosterone that makes men so clueless &....I will say it....selfish?!  I love my husband but the more I think about it, it really does make me mad that it doesn't cross his mind to capture a few special moments between me & our LO. When I do ask him to take a picture of us, he just takes the picture without putting any efffort into making her smile or giggle. I wish the hospital would have pulled him aside & given him a few tips before we all went home!

 For now, I'm doing lots of secret photos of me & LO, either me taking them or setting the timer...& I haven't shown these to anyone because I'm embarassed that I have to take them myself     I'm thinking I might make an album in the future & give it to her when she's a teenager?

I hardly ever get any good pictures of LO and I! Partly because DH always seems to angle the camera UP so I look like a giant and mostly because I'm usually behind the camera. Same as you we have tons of pictures of DH & LO.
