Baby Einstein Activity Exersaucer Question

So I still have quite a bit to buy and was thinking Craigslist might be a good resource.  I found a Baby Einstein Exersaucer (Around the World) that looks to be in great shape and the price is great.  The listing states that one of the purple hang-on tabs is missing.  Anyone know what this is?  Or if it's a big deal?  I don't want it to look trashy, but I can't tell a problem in the picture she posted.  Also, is this a reasonable thing to buy used?  I'm a cleaning freak so I would clean like crazy.  I just can't picture all the components right now and BRU is far away just to go look at it.  Thanks, ladies!

Re: Baby Einstein Activity Exersaucer Question

  • I would say either look up a photo of a new one and try to compare, e-mail the seller and ask them to be more specific, or e-mail the manufacturer to inquire about it and possibly find out if they have a replacement part.

As far as cleaning, I'm sure some soap and hot water would do the trick, assuming the parts are plastic.  Might want to ask the manufacturer about that as well.

  • You can just look at it online at BRU if it helps you figure out which is the missing piece. From what I could tell, it looks like it might be one of the little things hanging from the little plant/tree. If that's what it is, no big deal. We bought a used exersaucer because it was So much cheaper than new and it's in great shape. I don't see a problem with cleaning, since its all hard plastic and can be wiped with cleaning wipes or whatever you clean with. The seat cover can be taken off and washed in the wash. So, I say go for it.

  • Thanks, ladies.  I did look at a stock photo compared to this one and don't notice any "purple hang-tab" like she said so I don't think it's very noticeable.  Glad to hear it's easily cleaned.  That was my biggest concern.  I did look online at the specs, but just wanted to hear from another momma about the cleaning part.  I'm going for it.  It's a third the price and looks great to me.  One less thing to spend full price on.  And one less product/waste to add to this world.  :)

I bought a used exersaucer with DS. I just used lysol wipes to clean it. The purple hanging piece he wasn't a fan of anyway. he loved that thing. I spent $25 on it and then I just gave it away when I was done so I didn't have to store it. I'll buy another used one for this baby.

Also, they only use it for 4 or 5 months so I don't think it is worth it to spend retail.

  • WE have it... if it's a good price, I'd get it. without looking at it I can't tell you what a purple hang on tab is. DS liked it well enough, but not half as much as his jumperoo.

  • I'm planning on buying a jumperoo/exersaucer used.  I've been searching craigslist, just haven't found one I like yet.  I bought a bumbo used too.
