Still haven't picked a name..

I'm 35 weeks and DH and I still haven't settled on a name yet. We know its a boy but haven't told any of our family members. I have a couple names I really like and so does he. What do you all think of the following: Royce; Boyd (DH's fave and the name of the pastor who married us and who passed away last year.); Grant (my fave); Jackson (we both kind of like it.) We both kind of like Monroe (family name - DH's grandmothers cousins middle name) as a middle name.

    Well I'm unfairly partial to Jackson, hehe.  But aside from that my favorite is Grant.  BTW, I love Monroe as a middle name.

    I really like Grant and Jackson and think Monroe is a great name.  Royce is Ok but I really don't like Boyd at all.

    Grant is my favorite.  Jackson is second.  I personally don't care for the others, though I agree that Monroe is a good middle name.

    Why not combine your two favorites to Grant Boyd?

    I would not do Grant Monroe as we have had to presidents with these surnmanes- James Monroe and Ulysses S Grant.

    I would go with Grant.  Jackson has become too popular/trendy, and I don't really like Royce or Boyd.  I think Monroe would be a nice middle name, but I'm not sure it's good for a first name.

    Grant is my favorite from your list and I really like Monroe for a middle name.

    My two faves of these are definitely Grant or Jackson.

    And Monroe is a different choice, but I kind of like it. I agree with a PP, though, that it sounds very "presidential" - actually paired with either Grant OR Jackson.

    This is the way I'm feeling. I like Grant the best. And Grady too...

     

    Our last name is Scott and its REALLY hard to find something that goes with that. My husband's name always gets mistaken as Scott and not his first name.
