My 2nd anniversary is very soon after LO arrives and I want to think about gifts for MH now so I'm not scrambling with a newborn. Cotton is the traditional 2nd anny gift but I'm stumped. What did you get for your husbands for a cotton gift(s)?
TIA and Happy (almost) Friday!!!!

New pj's?
Haha, I don't even know. I think this "rule" was probably back in the day when men used handkercheives and wore gloves, and that's what your "cotton" gift would be.

Towels or sheets are always a good gift.. (maybe more for a girl, or it could just be me).
You could get him a burp cloth (the thick ones like prefolds) monogrammed to say "I love my daddy" or something like that.
Does he go to the gym a lot or play golf? You could get him a new towel for either of those.
Most of my ideas involve monograms and I don't know how many husbands feel about that.. if they are like my husband they aren't big fans..
A hammock that's made from cotton. Just an idea. I would love it personally.
A matching outfit for baby and dad.
If he's a fan of any team really, you could order him a jersey (depends on how big of a fan)
Lingerie!
Hahahaha! I love it! No matter which gift I choose, I'm definitely getting a bag of cotton balls.
I like the towels idea...we can always use new towels. And I like the idea of a gift for baby and dad. Thanks ladies! I knew I could count on you! Please keep the ideas coming!!!
Last year was our 2 year and we did the cotton thing a few different ways. We actually went to J.Crew and each picked out a nice t-shirt for the other. The, we bought good, organic sheets since our old sheet set was a HUGE pain to put on our bed. Lastly, I bought 2 extra pillow cases and painted "his" and "hers" in script on them so when they are on the bed they read as one word (wish I had a pic, it;s kind of hard to describe).
The tshirts were just a fun, spur of the moment thing, but every time DH wears his tshirt I think about our anniversary day.
Other ideas might be a nice table cloth, some new towels (not romantic, but very useful), or maybe a hammock, assuming you have a place to put one up. Think of something you'll use on a regular basis, that way you'll be reminded of the reason for the gift every time you use it.

I took the napkins from our wedding and sewed them into a quilt. I embroided a heart in the middle with the words "Always and Forever" in the center of the quilt.
