Do you think its rude or weird to register for nursery decor? I think registering for the bedding/crib set is common, but what about things like lamps, wall decor, end tables, etc? Useful and good registry items or too demanding for shower guests?

Nope.  People can choose what they want to buy and they don't have to buy you a lamp if they don't want to.  Whether you think it's rude or weird I would still do it to cash in on the 10% completion coupon.  And if you do feel weird you can always add them in after your last shower happens.

The nursery items were some of the most popular things on my registry - people bought them up quickly.

I don't think it's rude at all. Although, I wouldn't buy something for someone's nursery. I would rather buy something they need versus something they want. That's just me though.

I put nursery decor on my registry. BRU decided to discontinue the set though before anyone could buy anything from it. But, several family members have expressed interest in buying us nursery things.

I dont think its rude, your registry is your wishlist.  Its not forcing anyone to buy it for you.  Plus I think that people like to buy that kind of stuff because they like and want to be helpful and since everyone else will be getting you clothes, baby decorations are cute and useful.
