I don't buy Baby Gap clothing very often, mainly because I find it over priced, but DD is getting her pictures taken in the next couple of weeks and there is a really cute outfit I'd like to get her. She's 26 inches, and 16 pounds. How do pants and shirts from Gap fit your LO, big, small, or just right? I want these clothes to fit her now, but don't want her to be swimming in them for her pictures. I'm just not sure if I should go 3-6 or 6-12 in Gap. Ugh, I hate this in-between stage.
Re: How do BabyGap clothes fit your LO?
Our little guy wears a lot of Baby Gap and I've found their sizing to fairly TTS, with some random sizes thrown in there. He's on the smaller size but has a long torso; here's the sizes he's currently in:
jeans/pants - 3-6 months
shirts/onesies - 6-12 months
rompers - kind of random, some of the footed ones have small feet and others are normal. He's still in 3-6 month in most of these.
shoes - 0-3 months
Ditto the socks. Love them.
C is 17lbs and about 24 inches, he is still in 3-6 months. The 6-12 pants are little too big in the waist and the 6-12 shirts a little long in the arms.
N is 16 lbs and is still in 3-6 months. The 6-12 pants are little too big in the waist and the 6-12 shirts a little long in the arms.
Hold the phone, there are socks that STAY ON????? My child is houdini with socks.
My DD is the exact same size as yours- at her 6 mo appt. 2 weeks ago she was exactly 16lbs and 26.5 inches. She wears a lot of Baby Gap and her 3-6 mo clothes still fit her really well so I haven't moved her into 6-12 yet.

My Chart
My DD is 26.5 inches long and 16lbs and is wearing a Baby Gap outfit today. It is a shirt and pair of jeans in 3-6. The pants are perfect in the waist but the shirt is getting a little short. Their sizes run a little big in my opinion. The only brand that truly fits her according to the label is Carters.
