baby not eating

My baby will be 8 months on Saturday. He is still breastfeeding about 4-5 times a day. I incorporated Stage 1 solids and cereal when he was 5-1/2 months old. He turns his head to stop eating after only consuming 1 tablespoon or less of food. I'm suppose to be moving him on to Stage 2 foods and table foods but he still doesn't eat a whole jar of Stage 1 food. What should I do about getting him to eat more? Is it all right as is now? He does not have any growth issues at present or observable food allergies.

    Is he teething??  My DS was not interested in eating (solids) one day and I did not push it.  He wat eating his bottles fine.  Oh and you dont have to go up to Stage 2 if you dont want to.

    DS started refusing smoother purees when he was ready to move up to chunkier stuff, so changing to stage 2 or even 3 for some stuff might be the solution to your problem.

    My LO turns his head and just stares at the ground after only eating a few bites. I think I just need to find the right timing. Have you tried changing WHEN you feed him? Or where? Just two suggestions. GL
