Zulily.com is having a "blow out sale" (poor choice of wording in my opinion!) and they have some fuzzibunz for $7.99. It looks like they are also selling Charlie Banana CDs for $14.99.
Hopefully this isn't old news already, but thought I would pass it on!
Re: CD ladies...
I haven't done the math yet (since we still do sposies most of the time since we have them) but I feel like I'll spend a lot on water to wash them.
We never had pee leaks in sposies either. And we maybe had 2-3 blowouts? Nothing much. I honestly only did it to save money-I dont really care about the enviornmental factor at all.
I think in all I've paid $150 for diapers (plus a bunch for accessories) so if I could make 3/4 of that back I'd do it, but I doubt I can.
Jkat have you tried a different find of insert in them? You could try finding some cheap hemp inserts. I'm really sorry they aren't working for you.
It's actually a little relieving to hear that CDs aren't as much of a godsend that this board makes them seem. I really wanted to do it before we had DD, but the laundry would just be too much with me working full time.
Disposables cost us around $40 per month, so it sounds like at about 6-7 months you would have broken even with the "saving money" aspect of CDs. Maybe your DHs would be more inclined to that argument.
Sorry they are a struggle!
You can always sell on Ebay or craiglist too.
Spot's Corner is nice because you post the price. Diaper Swappers is kind of sketch to me, I've only bought once from there but you can't PM until you have 5 messages or so, that makesit a PITA.
I totally understand about cloth not being for you. I go back and forth every week! OUr water bill is kind of getting out of control.

No problem. I'm keeping mine for now and trying out different ones because with me staying home I feel guilty buying sposies. I also am doing EC and plan on starting hard core potty training in a few months so I doubt we'll be in diapers past a year and a half.
I think my energy bills will go down once it's sunny enough to dry the diapers outside. That's been the biggest jump for me.
We are in an apartment and have a meter that cuts it across the building and occupancy. I don't think my water usage has gone up too much (definitely some) but there are tons of people living in these apartments that aren't accounted for so we end up paying more per person because the extra 4 or so people in the building aren't being counted.

I just sold a few of DS's cloth diapers on Craigslist. I actually did pretty well. (I did the math in a recent blog post if you are interested.) The style that I sold just didn't fit DS very well, so I used the cash to buy some more of the BG 4.0s that fit him really well.
For the poster who is having problems with diaper rash, have you tried a diaper that feels dry, like a pocket diaper? Are you doing an extra rinse cycle at the end of your wash to make sure all of the detergent is rinsed out? I also put a dab of lanolin on DS's bottom before bed to prevent diaper rash. It washes out in hot water, so it is CD safe in small amounts.
Do you think it could be yeast? Is it red and bumpy?
And I am hanging mine on my balcony. We are on the second floor so I'm not concerned about the safety of my diapers

I was having a lot of problems with my daughter in both of the covers we have. I started using a snappi and haven't had a leak since (it's been 1 week). I used to have pee leak out pretty much daily. If you use pockets we always use hemp and that seems to cut down on leaks. If you kid is a super wetter you can also stuff two hemps in there with the normal insert. I find that it's hard to find the right fitting diaper. I got a bunch of prorap because they worked great for the kid I nannied. I figured I would have a chunkier kid so they'd be awesome. Turns out that my kid got her dad's build and it skinny with tiny legs. She is just now fitting into her proraps around the leg and she is at the maximum weight of them. I have found that thirsties work better for her. It is frustrating when you invest and find it doesn't work! I hope you can find a solution!!
Yeah you need to go to the doctor for yeast. I also found some diaper rash cream that is supposed to help with that and is also diaper rash safe. You'll need to research on the cloth diaper board if that's what it is so that you can kill it in the diapers. I have heard grapseed oil(I think).

Come over to the CD board whenever you have questions. The questions are always answered even if they are asked a million times
As for yeast - Lotimin AF can be used on the diaper area and I would put her in sposies as it clear (not CD safe) and bleach all the diapers. (normal wash routine with 1/4 c or so of bleach) extra rinses - some dont like using bleach but it works. and you need to treat ALL your diapers and inserts. Normal washing does not clear it up.
