baby shoes in the summertime....

since none of our LOs will be walking by the time summer rolls around, what do you guys plan to do re: shoes? do your LOs wear shoes now at all? we have a few pair of shoes that fit him now, but i never put them on him because i know i wouldn't want to have shoes on if i didn't have to....

i got him a couple of pairs of those flip flops with the elastic strap in the back just cuz they are cute, but this whole summer thing is really throwing me for a loop. right now to daycare he just either wears the sleep & plays with the feet or just socks.

    We used to put shoes on DS when we were out in the summer, and will with DD if I ever find some I like. I think it helped avoid fights with DS later on, because he knows that we always put on shoes to go outside/run errands. We have never had a fight about that. Coats on the other hand... lol.

    But we have never done daycare. I don't know how that really works.

    I will be doing shoes for summer. I don't care if he takes them off while at daycare, but I'd feel weird about toting him around in public with bare tootsies. - I don't know why.

    i know, i kind of feel the same way....i feel like he SHOULD have shoes on but then logically i think what is the point? but good thinking about avoiding fights later! that's super smart!

    He'll be barefoot, but I don't put shoes on him in cold weather either (just socks).

    E will be wearing shoes in the summer time.  Even though she most likely won't be walking, she may try to stand up and I just feel weird walking around with a sockless or shoeless baby.

    I will probably do sandals, I guess. I never thought about it leading to less fights about shoes in the future, so I guess its worth it. My mom thinks its awful to not put shoes on him. She has issues.

    We might put some light leather sandals on DS, the ones with the leather sole like a Robeez.  They are small enough I can keep them in the diaper bag and put them on whenever he's going to be "on his feet".

    DS has been using shoes since he was 8 days old (I just find them adorable and also think that his outfits don't look complete w/o shoes)

    this summer he'll be wearing shoes in the city (or sandals if it gets too hot)

    I'll let his chubby feet wiggle free when we go to the beach
