Rachel!! Oh my goodness I am so happy for you!! I know the adoption process has been sooo hard for you and Joey and I am just so thrilled to see this. When are you going to get your butt over to saif and announce????  I reeallly want to but of course won't steal your thunder. CONRATS sweety. This just amazing.

    I am waiting :) whenever I post there something bad always happens so want to give it the time for her to sign!

    Married on 3.20.2004. It took 30 month, 2 failed adoptions and IVF for our first miracle. We have had 9 foster kids since he was born and started the domestic adoption process when he was 10 month old, we had 4 failed matches in that time. After our daughter was born we brought her home and spent 2 weeks fearing we might lose her because of complications that came up. But Praise God all went through and she is ours forever!     If you don't mind sharing, what is the timeline for TPR, etc? I am just so happy for you and will keep praying for everyone in the situation. Congrats again!

    Ah ok. Glad to hear I'm not the only one that was super cautious about that. With all the m/cs, it seemed like as soon as I posted on saif, it happened. So when we got Noah, during the scary period, I was sooo nervous. I love her name and can't wait to see pics. Ditto Kolasa---what the waiting period for TPR for you guys? Glad to hear BM is amazing. We struck gold in that department too, thankfully. If you're on fb, wanna be friends?  I'm praying like crazy for you guys.

    she is going to sign tpr sunday. I spoke to her on the phone this am and she put our last name on the birth cert (though we told her to put hers) and I asked her if holding Aida made her change her mind and assured her it was ok if she did.  I told her we didn't want her to feel any pressure from us and she said "i'm trying to pressure ya'll to get down here and take this baby from me" lol

     

    I think she is more worried we will change our minds than we are worried she will change hers :)

    Luke's Birthmom was like that. I have so much love and respect for Birthparents. Sunday will come fast. Is that sweet girl with you now? Your family must be over the moon!

    she will come home from hospital tomorrow with us.  Waiting for visiting hours to start!

    I just wanted to say again how happy I am for you and your family! You have had a rough road and I'm so happy you get to bring your baby girl home tomorrow! I agree Sunday will come fast! Can't wait to see more pictures!

    So just a lurker, but Congrats!!! I have a little girl in my preschool named Aida (only time I've ever seen it spelled that way ... it's pronounced like "Ida").  Enjoy your newest blessing!! :)

    I have an aunt named Aida. It's a very pretty name.  How'd you decide upon it?

    I heard the name a few years back and loved it, but it wasn't our top name ever.  But when J said she wanted us to name the baby, but we knew she hated the name the family picked who adopted her last baby, we wanted to let her pick with us, so we ran our list of names by her and she liked Aida best :) Marie is J's middle name as well as my MIL's who died 6 years ago.

    It's perfect for her!
