MH and I are thinking of moving to Atlanta or Cobb co next summer and I want to go back to work at the beginning of next school year.  Can you help?  Here' my C&P.... 

1. Can anyone direct me to a site to find out what I need for teacher licensure?  And is SLP licensure for the schools separate from GA SLP licensure (to practice in the medical setting - it is two different things in KY).

2. What specifically do I need to apply for/look for? 

3. How much does it cost and can I apply for it now, even though I'm not associated with a school district yet.

4.  And is there a specific site for each school district/county and a place that lists job postings.

ga hires by county. i would check out cobb county of course and find a map of the counties. i use to work in gwinnett county and now i am dekalb county. i know right now... a few counties are on a hire freeze because the governor cut 10 million dollars out of the education budget.

that website will tell you everything you need to know about ga certificates. i came from ohio and i had to take a special ed class to get my ga certifate. i began teaching on a renewal contract then i took the class and got my ga certificate. i do not know much about cobb county. i know must all districts in ga go by standard base teaching. it varies from county to county and school to school. if you have any other questions you think i can answer, let me know.
