F/U to Staining on my GroVia inserts & AIOs

Well, ladies, I did an overnight soak in a bucket (I did a test run on 6 inserts) with 1 scoop of detergent and hot water, then washed the inserts without additional soap on warm/cold 3 times (same # of cycles I usually do) with an extra rinse each time.  The staining definitely faded, but I wasn't able to do the sunshine dry as it was cloudy and/or rainy here almost the whole weekend!  I will have to try that next time around.

  • sounds good!

i haven't had hardly any staining on my grobaby's, and i've been using them for over a year now. but i sunned them last week and i did notice a considerable difference afterwards in how white they were...

    hope that helps!

  • Just to warn you: There was a discussion on Grovia's facebook page where someone was having a lot of holes in their inserts... they figured out that it was from soaking too much.  Grovia said not to soak in Rockin' Green or Oxyclean because there is some ingredient that breaks down the fibers faster.

  • Thanks!  As far as the soaking/washing, I use their recommended detergent, Tiny Bubbles.  I haven't had problems with it, but I might try some Eco Sprout to see if that does a better job as far as stain removal (not soaking, just wash).

As far as the staining, I think it might have more to do with us not using the bioliners.  MK was reacting to them so I stopped using them.  Much better now, but the use of a poop sprayer is fully necessary now!
