So if you haven?t noticed by now I?m a little, okay a lot, baby obsessed! (you can read about it on my blog, newadventuresofaskinnyfatgirl.blogspot.com
My SIL is about 18 weeks pregnant & I?m SOOOO excited for her.
I?m already thinking of what I can get for them...and I?ve downloaded instructions on how to make a motorcycle diaper cake thingy.
This is SIL?s 2nd child, her first is 6 years old (she doesn?t have ANY old baby gear), so I?m wondering what essentials we should look to buy. Do you all have any suggestions on things that were helpful with your LO? Or things that you received/bought that you could?ve lived without?
Sincerely,
A baby obsessed, soon to be aunt to one more!
Re: SIL is pg!!
how exciting!! congratulations auntie!!
Super important items for me...pnp with bassient attachment. LO slept in that for the first few months & if she plans on nursing, the breastfriend nursing pillow (it really helped me a ton). As for newborn clothes, LO lived in those sidesnap kimonos & pants. My OB actually recommend them b/c she though it was better for the umb cord stump to not be aggravated by the fabric of a onesie and it would still be easy for me to get her into the carseat without worrying about a dress or gown on her.
Oooh how exciting! I remember when my SIL was pregnant and how thrilled I was. I agree with PP about the essentials; diapers, diaper change pad/cover, diaper bag, baby bath tub, natural bath lotions/wash, diaper creams, onesies, pacifiers, swaddle blankets, receiving blankets, bottles, hoodes towel for after bath...so many things
Other fun stuff, picky sticky, a&a muslin blankets (love these!), sophie the giraffe.
I love Hawaii!
