Prepping PUL??

I read something somewhere (although I cant find where now) about drying PUL on high once to "seal" it.  Is this something that you are supposed to do to prep or just if you start having problems.  Also, I have several  WAHM AIO/AI2s with the hidden PUL, is there anything extra I need to do to these to prep? I washed them once and hung them to dry. I know they'll get more absorbent after more washes, but they're good for now right?

I have read it is a good idea to dry on high once to seal the PUL - this goes for AI2,or pockets as well. The AI2 I got from a WAHM had that on the instructions.
