REPOST for aug2011:
Our LO has been very very active since around 17 weeks. I would always feel her early in the morning on my way to work and then a few times throughout the day and then always a TON at night when laying down.
Since yesterday I havnt felt her move as much as she normally does. Should I be worried? Could something be wrong? When do you start tracking this sort of thing?
Re: When do you start counting/tracking movement?
My midwife told me to start tracking at my 24wk appt., I thought that was pretty early though since most girls post that they start around 28wks. So I think it's relative to your OB/midwife. I would guess anywhere between 24-28wks though.
Here's what my midwife says about movement- You should feel them after you eat, and especially at night when you are laying down, but they are establishing sleeping patterns now so don't panic if you don't feel any movement for several hours (the baby might be sleeping) You can try drinking some ice water or juice to see if baby wakes up.
