Anybody experiencing post partum for too long? Do you feel like mommyhood really isn't for you? Do you feel guilty for feeling so? Do you feel like you are or have missed an opportunity? A lot of opportunities? Do you feel like the sacrifices are too much to handle? Do you feel alone? I do.
And I don't know how to overcome it.

Your not alone. Call your dr. they can help you. Don't feel bad about asking for help there is nothing wrong with that! Have you visited the PPD board? There are many supportive woman on that that board that can relate to you and offer much advice! GL to you and please feel better soon.
I was fortunate to not have post partum, but I have recently been going through some crippling anxiety. we're moving, which is exactly what i wanted to do (I'm the one that begged my husband, got him on board) etc and then i got REALLY anxious about whether or not it was the right decision. It got so bad that my anxiety was literally making me immobilized. I finally called my doctor and i too and now on celexa and am starting therapy and just knowing i am getting some help has helped me so much. You should DEFINTIELY call your doc, look into getting some meds, and therapy. It is so hard and overwhelming to make that phone call but you'll be so glad that you did. GL
According to my OB, PPD can last for up to 18 months. If it's been longer than that it is classified as clinical depression, but up to 18 months it's absolutely PPD.
Either way, a little medication can make a huge difference.

Please go to your OB and talk to them about what you are feeling. You might want to get on some medication to help you cope with the PPD.
