newborn photos

So today's groupon in Pittsburgh is for "Picture People" which is a photo studio in the mall.  Would you feel comfortable taking your newborn (a week or two old) to get newborn photos at a Picture people in the mall?  Or is that too many germs too early?

    Even if I felt comfortable bringing her out, which I probably would...I'm not sure I'd be physically ready to go on an outing to the mall. Take that into account too.

    Yes. We did DD2s newborn pics w/a photog when she was 8 days old.

    I was up & out of the house 4 days after delivery with the girls. I can't stand being stuck inside -- especially since it will be so nice in May/June when the baby arrives.

    I would just try to get the 1st appointment of the day. The less you have to wait, the better! Plus, there will be less people in the mall (=less people trying to touch your new baby).

    Our photog told us that 7-14 days old is the prime time for newborn photos, so I'd keep that in mine too.

    I take my kids out when we come home within a day or two! LOL

    go for it. baby will need to get use to germs.
