Update on DH's gma - not looking good

Well, we are at a crossroads with her. She's in the hospital with a broken pelvis and tailbone. She can hardly move. Can't walk, can't lay flat, can't sit up fully either. She's too fraile to operate. 

The big concern is of course pneumonia creeping in. We are trying to find a "rehab" place for her. DH's aunt and uncle are trying to micro-manage us from NM. I think their big concern is going to be the cost of the care. Which is so stupid. the more spent on her care the less for them.

DH did make the decision to cut the neighbor off from being on his gma's payroll since he hasn't done anything for her since Jan.

I am trying not to be a debbie downer, because DH loves his gma so much, but I just don't see how she can recover from this.

Poor Grandma!  That's going to be really hard for everyone.  I hope the NM relatives stop thinking about their inheritance. 

I can't believe skeevy neighbor is still involved, ew.

He's not really involved, she just keeps paying him.

Ugh, yeah.  In my experience, anytime an elderly person takes a fall and ends up in the hospital like this, they just go downhill so quickly.  Something similar happened to my grandpa.  I'm so sorry.

Seriously not sure how you don't tell them to SFTU and worry about the living lady instead of her money!
