Diaper leakage because baby boy is sleeping on his tummy

Every time my LO sleeps on his tummy, his diaper fills up and leaks out on to his tummy and the sheet.  His 'thing' is pointed down and his diaper is a Pampers which is really absorbent.  Anyone have any tips?  Someone told me to put his diaper on backwards because it's more absorbent in the back.  TIA!

We have the same problem, and did with DD1 too as soon as she started tummy sleeping.  We go one size up and order the Huggies overnights (eg - DD2 is wearing size 2s during the day and at night she wears size 3 Huggies overnights).  We went from having a leak almost every night to almost NEVER having one.

Personally I'd just put a waterproof pad under him to minimize damage, but in my logic, he has tona of clothes, and two crib sheets.

Had same problem when DS was a baby but it wasn't because he was sleeping on his belly. We had to use Huggies Supremes at night.

We use Luvs but had the same problem. She wears size two during the day and as soon as we switched her to size 3's at night the leaking stopped.

Agreed. Eli sleeps on his tummy and every morning he has peed out of his diaper. I just change his clothes and keep it moving.

My DS only sleeps on his stomach. We tried both Pampers and Luvs with DS and he still had serious leakage with both in 2 different sizes. Finally we moved up to Huggies Little Movers in size 3 and we have not had any leaks. I would try going up a size or a different diaper. It seems like the Huggies Little Movers have more padding in the front.

Same leak issues with DS... when he wakes up for a bottle, I like to change his diaper, feed him and he goes right back to sleep. But when he's leaked and I have to add changing his shirt into the routine, it wakes him up and he's less likely to fall back asleep after the bottle. We switched to Huggies Snug & Dry as our "night time" diapers and they are VERY absobant! DS sleeps for 11-12hrs before waking up for this diaper changing... the diaper is quite heavy by the morning, but I'm very happy there's no more night time leaks.
