Just not ready for crib?

ds had been in his cradle in our room but we have been putting him in his crib for the past 2 weeks & he will sleep for 3 hours then eat, back to sleep for 2 hours then up hourly. Last night we ee both so tired that after he woke to eat dh & I decided to put him in his cradle again, he slept for 5.5 hours (he has never done that). Could he just not be ready to transition? tia

Re: Just not ready for crib?

  • I was thinking the same thing about my LO, except that she has NO sleep in the crib, just cries relentlessly when we try to put her there. Even for naps. So at this point, I'm not forcing it. I'll keep trying and hope she lets me know when she is ready.

  • My child just screams bloody murder the whole time he is in crib. He is not much of a sleeper when he cosleeps either. He only sleeps in 3 hour increments. I guess I will sleep in 10 years!

  • Wow, SIMBASIM, this sounds just like my DD! Who needs sleep anyways Stick out tongue
  • I am going to transition LO from the RnP to the crib in two weeks.  I tried 2 nights ago and had pretty much the same horrible experience as you ladies.  I have to get up at 5:45 for work and it was just a hot mess!?!?!?  I will be on Spring Break (from teaching) and am going to work like he!! to get LO sleeping in his crib!  He is almost tooooooo long for the RNP.  boooooo
