I am off to pick up our new puppy today. He is just 6 months old and we found him from a local small dog rescue. We lost our 5 year old Yorkiepoo just 2 months ago after he was hit by a car. Our other dog has been sad ever since. After much going back and forth and talking with our vet about it we finally decided to just do it. I must be crazy to add a new puppy when I have an almost 4 month old at home. We are excited thought....hopefully it goes well!!

PIP when you get him!  A puppy is definitely exciting.  I'm sure it will be extra work for a while, but he and DS will be best buddies.  I'm hoping I'll be able to talk DH into a dog in a couple of years (I know the answer right now will be a resounding NO).

How exciting!!! Good luck with the new puppy!! I have 2 dogs at home with a 5 month old and somedays its alot to handle but its all worth it

Oh how exciting!  I want to get a puppy too now that the twins are older but I think my two cats would freak.

I am so sorry about your Yorkie. I still get sad over my dalmatian thats been gone for over three years.

I am very excited for your new puppy.... wonderful for him/her getting a forever home and for your DS having a best bud when they get to know each other. Congratulations. Furbabies rock.
