I just got a letter from the guy who hit our car's insurance, apparently the accident was ruled OUR fault, even though the guy merged into our lane while we were riding parallel to his trailer, and we were following the whole "Make sure you can see the driver in his side mirror" rule for driving around trucks, the guy just simply wasn't paying attention and they want us to pay for his equipment that got damaged in the process of messing up our car. This whole ordeal is gonna give me anger issues I swear

That's awful! I'm glad everyone's safe and okay though! You can have my kickboxing membership...I moved halfway across the country and they won't let me cancel. 60 bucks a month down the drain...

Have you reported the whole thing to your insurance company? Let them duke it out, because insurance companies try to bully others into paying for stuff that they are liable for all the time.

While switching lanes one time, this woman in an suv (I drive a teeny tiny rollerskate Echo) who was behind me also switched lanes and drived to pass me in the lane I was trying to move into, and grated her car on the side mirror in the process. I reported it immediately to my insurance who made sure I wasnt held liable for anything (especially since the scuff mark wiped off with a moistened finger).

There's an insurance adjuster coming to take pictures of the damage on the left side of my car and to get our side of things tomorrow, I can't believe this crap, the guy was switching lanes no signals or anything and his insurance wants me to be out the cash for the repairs to the bumper, the front left quarter panel, the headlight, and the car seat I can no longer use because its been in an accident? I don't effing think so.
