DH and I are seriously thinking about babies at the moment but want to work some more things out first before I officially get off BC. We need to plan things out between the both of our deployments and moving and whatnot. He has already agreed on the boys name Noah but is having difficulty with the girls. I am all over the place for girls but for the time being I am in love with the Delilah (or any name that ends in -lah for that matter...i absolutley love tallulah but would never name my child that). I'm usually a stalker on this page and I have never really seen any names like these. What do you think and do you have any other suggestions in names ending in -lah?
Re: Phantom Baby Names
Delilah is kind of a mouthful. Layla or Leila have the same ending sound.
You haven't seen names like Noah, Delilah, and Tallulah on this board? I think you need to lurk a bit more.
I think Delilah is pretty, but would not use it because of its popularity (due to the song). If you are religious, you may want to consider the fact that the Biblical Delilah is a villain.
Other suggestions:
Girls: Lilah, Mahala, Mila, Stella, Drusilla, Michaela, Philomela
Boys: Micah,Jeremiah, Nehemiah, Hezekiah, Judah, Joshua
Baby Name Popularity by State
I like Delilah and Lilah (both which are mentioned on the board a lot).
I also like Lola and Nola.
Noah is nice, but waayy too popular for me.
Wouldn't use either but I think they are good names!
Take it as a compliment, you don't want your child to have the same name as everyone else!
For the record, I really like Tallulah. It isn't at the very top of my list, but if it was, I would totally use it.
I found a few more similar names for you. You can click on each name to see its origin, meaning and other etymology from www.BehindTheName.com.
Here are the ones I found that end it -lah:
Akilah
Beulah
Havilah
Selah
Zillah
Would you consider names that don't have the H at the very end? They sound the same; they just look slightly different. Also, these names are mostly of different origins than the ones above. They are more European, so you are probably more familiar with them.

And if the H is really the part you like, and you don't have to have the L, here are some names ending in -ah:

Dinah
Farrah
Hadassah
Hannah
Keturah
Mariah
Norah
Rebekah
Sarah
Savannah
Susannah
