Spontaneous Torticollis - anyone?

I have a call in to the Pedi, but waiting for call back.  DD has been tilting head to right, started saturday, definitely worse yesterday and today.  I can move her head/neck straight, but flops back to right as soon as I let go.  Came out of no where.  No distress.  Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this, and if so were you able to self correct with home PT exercises...or did you get PT outpatient?  TIA

I'm no help, but we're in the same boat. After a few months of PT exercises at home (my mom's an OT and showed me what to do with him), his neck muscles are fine but he still has a side preference and is always sleeping with his head to the right, and playing with his head to the right. He has a pretty bad flat spot on his head, but the pedi keeps telling me it will round out on its own in the next few months. (Fingers crossed!!!)

Well, the Pedi just called back.  We have a well check up in 2 weeks.  For now, they gave me some things to do - putting her toys on the opposite side when she's lying down.  Making her do more tummy time  - which she hates and I NEVER do b/c she screams on her belly - so I guess that's what I'm going to have to try.  She doesn't have a flat spot - and she's sitting unsupported and able to turn her head and all while sitting and lying down, but just out of now where starting favoring the right.  So, I am going to make her do tummy time, and hopefully that will help her neck muscles too!
