Work Shower Q

Did anyone who had a work shower get a hostess gift for the person who organized it?  I would like to but it is supposed to be a surprise and I'm not sure who is organizing it, though I'm sure i can figure it out, if not before than after words. 

 on the other hand they are usualy pot lucks and everyone puts effert into it.  I'm just not sure what to do...

I threw 2 work showers in the past year. Both girls knew I was throwing it for them, so slightly different situation than yours. I got a gift from one and not the other. It was a nice house plant that I've kept at the office. So I think it's your call.

I'd gift the person afterwards.  Or have gift card ready.  That's usually a sure bet.

What about bringing in some baked goods or food the day after as a thank  you to everyone?

I would do a thank you gift after the shower.
