nursing clothes?

My due date is next week, and I was looking online for nursing clothes.  Those of you that are nursing, do you think they are worth it?  Where do you recommend I look for nursing tops?  TIA!

Re: nursing clothes?

  • soo worth it. especially nursing bras! motherhood maternity/ mimi maternity had some cute ones, pretty basic though.

  • I just have nursing bras.  I have one underwire from Target and another one non-underwire from Wal-Mart.  I just wear tanks right now and then a zip up hoodie or a sweater if I get cold.
  • I just have a few nursing bras.  I haven't found the need for anything else.  I think in the beginning, get a bra or 2 and figure out what works best for you.
  • I love my nursing tops I got most of them from Expressiva, but have a few from Motherhood

  • I recommend getting started with breastfeeding first before investing in very much nursing-specific stuff (even bras ... one will get you through the first 2 weeks until milk comes in and settles down.) I have a few tops I bought at Motherhood so I could try them on first. Now that I know what style opening I like best, I plan to buy a few more online from Motherhood and other sites. If we're just hanging out at home and not having visitors, I don't bother wearing a nursing top. If we're going out and about, I'll wear the nursing top in case I can't find anywhere totally private to nurse.
  • I started out with a few nursing tanks from Target. After my milk came in, I got a couple of nursing bras.
