moms of twin boys need help! :(

Hey ladies, this is an Easter outfit question. Baby boys are totally new to me and for the past 2 weeks Ive searched every online baby stores fromold navy to gymboree, carter's ect and I do not know what to put on them for easter pictures! I love the dress shirts and sweater vest combo with pastel colors BUT for one I think that should be for older babies right? AND We live in FL and its super hot here especially since the outfits I plan to get are not only for pictures but also for church. I want something dressy but not too much clothing, can u guys especially moms of babies 1-3 months preferably less then 6 months send over some pics or ideas my way? Thanks a lot I'm really stressin about this since my daughter already have her dress and all.

  • I only have one boy, but what about a bubble or a jon-jon?  Those are both really cool and lightweight.  Brands I like are Feltman Bros, Petit Ami, Orient Expressed, Royal Child/Sophie Dess, Carriage Boutique and Kelly's Kids.

  • Hmm ... my boys were 3 months old at their first Easter and I'm having a hard time even remembering what they wore! ;) Dress clothes on baby boys that age tend to look funny! I think you could go with a little one-piece dressy outfit or little pastel polos with khaki shorts or pants.

This was Will's outfit (actually a one-piece outfit; the vest and khaki shorts were part of it):

    And Alex's:

Nothing too fancy but they worked. Much easier to dress them when they were 15m and 2 than at 3m! I think you could do the sweater vest look at their age too though. This was my boys last Easter, at 15m (in 89 degree weather ... good thing the church was air-conditioned!):

  • my advice - go with the one-piece outfits, like that first link posted above... b/c they can only wear them for the first 2 years (if that long... Gibby is so big they don't make them in his size anymore)... and boy clothes get BORING after a few years- it's the same crap every year, just bigger sizes.

the twins were almost a year at their first Easter, so they were in khaki shorts, a button down + a tie.... this year they will be in sear sucker (sp?) shorts, and a sweater vest with a button down underneath.

Griffin has worn similar things... i try to switch up the holiday outfits between sweater vests, regular vests, ties, etc.... since there is only so much you can do with boys.

  • Do they have Macy's in FL? They have a brand called First Impressions and they have some very sweet baby boy outfits. Last year for Easter, my boys wore one piece soft cotton, light blue sailor outfits that were First Impressions. I agree that the sweater vests and dress shirts are better for older kiddos.

    Good luck!

    HTH!

  • ralphlauren.com has some cute layette's in soft pastel colors that are in the $20-30 range. i agree layette's/one-pieces are the way to go because they can't wear them for very long and they're simple - i think all the difference pieces - shorts, shirt, vest, etc gets to be a lot for the little ones ... good luck!
  • Thank you soo much ladies, my DH is no help at all and he just walked in the room while reading your responses and im like "babe i love my mom friends, they're the best!" :) I'm really gonna consider the dressy button collar onsie with shorts OR a one piece pastel romper. Whatever I find I will post a pic! :) And yes we do have Macys here also and I do like first impressions as well. :) I do plan to go to macys next weekend and take a look what they have :) Thanks for allyour help guys! Goldie, you have a point boys' clothing is the same things over and over haha :p
