My April Baby became a March baby! Late Birth Story and PIP

Avoree Layne Smith was born March 21st at 9:14am! She weighed 4 punds 10 ounces, and was 18 and a half inches long! She was a little shy of 5 weeks early, as she wasnt expected to be here until April 27th. Everything with baby was fine, but at 32 weeks I was diagnosed with preeclampsia and put on bedrest, and then at 33 weeks I was put in the hospital for it. My pressures were 150/95 most of the time, and the protein in my urine went from 288 week 32 to 3100 week 34. They had to take her by emergency c-section because I was so close to the really dangerous parts of pre-e, and she had to spend a week in the NICU. It was so had for me, because I was in pain from the surgery, and on top of that I didnt get to see my gorgeous baby until 5pm that day. It broke my heart. I was released 2 days later, and it was so hard to leave her there. My husband and I went to the hospital every day for the week she was there. I was beginning to feel like I was nothing but the person that delivered her.. that everyone else was taking care of her because I couldnt. The nurses in NICU were all so nice, and helped so much. We finally got to bring her home Tuesday afternoon, and she is doing great! Shes gaining weight and has already increased the amount of pumped milk that she takes per feeding!

Although I have had complications due to the surgery that have caused me to seriously question whether or not I will ever have another baby, my little Avoree is perfect, and I already love her more than life itself!
